Summer’s End

performing at Herbert on the SW Tour

It seems silly, but when you farm, August means the end to summer (that, and the Christmas Wish Book should be out soon!). It’s been a busy one with shows every weekend ūüôā¬†and even¬†some I had to turn down ūüôĀ The summer shows included Swift Current, Atwater, Strathclair, Herbert, Moose Jaw and Chaplin (click on the ‘gallery’ tab for a full list and pictures). ¬†Some were just me doing an acoustic set while for¬†others I was joined by¬†Glenna Switzer, Mark Penner, Blair Gehl and Ear Harder and we played as “Backroads” (we’re currently looking for a new name). We wrapped things up last night close to home at Palliser Regional Park to celebrate their 50th anniversary.¬†For those of you that made it to¬†any of the shows, purchased cd’s or just shared¬†any of my videos, songs or ¬†web pages (corinnenewton.ca, twitter, fb etc –¬† see the links on the side)¬†thanx for your support.¬† When the harvest is done I’ll be playing again. If you’re interersted in a house concert, or in need of any other acoustic entertainment, of¬† if you’d like to book us as a band, or¬†purchase a cd¬†feel free to fire me an email (corinnenewtonmusic@gmail.com¬†or go to my “contact” tab above) and we’ll see what we can do.¬† I also plan on finishing another cd this winter.¬†¬†Big plans! But for now, the focus is getting a crop in the bin and the garden in the cold room for the winter. So Happy Harvest, and we’ll see you on the flip side ūüôā
